My goodness what a good conversation, so transparent and vulnerable but helpful

Wow praise God, the God of compassion and all comfort. Part of my testimony was being healed from my depression, but I’ve been hit with it in such a way I couldn’t understand it. did God really heal me? Did He touch my soul but didn’t heal my mental illness? I feel a burden of anxiety, loneliness, I pull my hair… the thought of death has also re-entered my mind. I cry out to God and still feel like nothing is changing. if I’m being completely honest I’ve felt my heart turn bitter. BUT God! His loving kindness always leads me to repentance. Last night I had a dream I was walking through a psych ward where people were both mentally ill and demon possessed but in the dream God gave me a word it said 2 Corinthians. I read only the first chapter when I woke up and I knew God was speaking and believe that He will heal me again! This episode serves as further confirmation. Thank you, Jesus. Be with us as we suffer, relying on your grace to get us through and never loosing hope knowing that you will heal… again and again. Amen. I began therapy last week ❤️

Thank you Jesus for your grace and tender loving mercies for us all. Whew, this was powerful! I have to admit, this was NOT at ALL what I was expecting for a clip- the appetizer. Especially by just glancing at the petite light skinned cousin sitting on the couch. Omg, she had me emotional (just as Preston was saying it,as did I.) The next time y’all plan on wrecking me please at least post a warning and have some ushers on standby with the church peppermint and juice. Now I gotta go watch some cartoons and this sucks because the grandkids aren’t here for me to play it off with them. @Jackie Hill Perry, now Sis you know we love you and we know you’re tight with Jesus. As someone who God has healed from bipolar depression after 36 years & a psych ward stay after suicidal ideations, I am blown away by this episode. My baby brother completed suicide 70 days ago. Why I was healed & he was not plagues me. BUT, I know that I know that I know that God is still good!!!

I wanted that. When I got it WHEW I was NOT ready like I thought I was but God was merciful 😅 They don't make em like they used to, so I'm glad the Lord gave me one before they disappeared 😂

As a mommy of 4 and wife who also struggles with mental illness, and previously suicide attempt, depression, and postpartum rage - I absolutely feel seen and resonate deeply with wrestling with the intersection of faith & suffering. I became devoted to Christ through His willingness and persistence to continue to show His faithfulness for me in my deepest, darkest, non-traditional, and unassimilated seasons of my life. When I think about the times of the embodiment of "God with us" being His proof of existence in my life in the most unnatural ways... it brings that fire in my soul, too. I am eternally grateful for the ability to REMEMBER. This was one of the best episodes I've heard personally. Definitely will be pre-ordering.

I believe if we incorporate God, like acknowledge God throughout our entire day, then we have spent time with him. I do not believe it is just about your morning or evening prayers and devotion. as we go about our day. God should be in every bit of it.

I’m a little conflicted with this One doesn’t the Bible state I am with you always. So are you talking about feeling God with you as in feeling His anointing or are you saying that when you feel dry you haven’t been praying enough God is not with you or you haven’t spent enough time with him and that’s why you’re dry? I don’t think I agree.

I needed this conversation because Jackie mindset is mind, over analyzing, over thinking, constantly searching for observations in relationships, and it makes you guarded. Especially not having a father as well. And I’m realizing I’m teaching my kids the same thing and now I’m realizing how much I don’t trust God as much as I say I do. Mind is blown yet edified! This conversation is needed so much for people like me thank you guys

This was so powerful and eye opening. I haven’t cried watching a podcast like this in a long time. May the Lord bless this episode greatly, and reach so many people who need to hear this! It reminded me of an old hymn called “Man of Sorrows”. The first verse says …” Man of sorrows what a name for the Son of God, who came ruined sinners to reclaim: Hallelujah, what a Savior!”
